Rachel DiFranco is a LEED Operations + Maintenance Accredited Professional with a Master’s Degree in Natural Resources and Sustainable Development. As Sustainability Coordinator for the City of Fremont, Rachel is responsible for implementing the City's Climate Action Plan goal of a 25% reduction in greenhouse gas emissions by the year 2020. She is currently implementing a number of local energy efficiency and renewable energy initiatives as part of the Fremont Green Challenge, the Citywide effort to take home the $5 Million Georgetown University Energy Prize.
